Two hand grenades and a landmine were found near Notre Dame Hospital in Jounieh, north of Beirut, media reports said Friday.
The grenades and the mine were discovered in a bucket, they said.
Security forces immediately cordoned off the area although they were old and not set to detonate, they added.
The hospital’s director Dr. Fawzi Odaimi told Voice of Lebanon radio (93.3) that the situation is under control and the security forces resolved the incident.
LBC TV said security forces are inspecting cameras installed near the hospital.
The Army Command later issued a statement confirming the discovery of the landmine and two hand grenades, adding that they were old and not prepared to be detonated.
A specialized unit has since taken the explosives to detonate them at al-Mghaiteh field in Dahr al-Baydar, it said.
