Hizbullah Members Assault ISF Patrol in Beirut’s Southern Suburbs, Party Denies

إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية W460

Members of an Internal Security Forces patrol were assaulted by Hizbullah supporters in the Rweiss neighbourhood of Beirut’s southern suburbs, security sources told An Nahar daily on Tuesday.

The sources said the ISF had set up a checkpoint on Monday as part of the one-month security campaign launched by Interior Minister Marwan Charbel, when the security forces saw a motorcyclist carrying a gun.

The policemen arrested the gunman identified as Ali Shoaib, they told An Nahar.

But around 30 Hizbullah members rushed to his help and engaged in a dispute with the patrol, which left policeman Mohammed Zoaiter with bruises.

Later Tuesday, Hizbullah’s press office denied the report, saying the party had nothing to do with the alleged assault.

Charbel has said that scores of people were arrested as part of the security plan that was launched last Wednesday, and the ISF has confiscated unlicensed trucks and motorcycles.

Hizb and Amal work in double face, they compliment sharbel that they are under law and on the second side they advice their followers to moke the government by their immoral actions.Lebanon wont be a country till Hizb behaves himself which is far far far beyond achieving

Thumb mowaten 03 July 2012, 08:46

LOL - if the ISF was arresting hariri's gunmen in tripoli and those who are using lebanese soil to stage attacks on syria, then you could talk.
till now the ISF is controlled by rifi, and rifi gets his paychecks from hariri, that's why they did nothing, neither in tripoli nor the border regions.
they go and arrest a guy in dahie because he has a gun? LOL like they discovered a secret or something? like it's not the case in all areas? any of you try to claim that there are not tens of armed men in the streets of maarad. please go ahead so we can all see how hypocrite you are.

also, that ISF guy should be happy he only got a little bruise, in tripoli the soldiers were simply killed when they tried to stop the clashes.

also true that monsignor Khreish was not part of an institution, he was only a man of the Church.
also tell me, who was caught for murder, bank theft? please i'd like to know, because all we know is that every time there is a bank robbery, or an old person trips on a sidewalk, you and your little friends all sing along "it's Hezbollah" without the slightest proof or indication whatsoever. it's easy to have arguments when you make them up.
the helicopter tragic incident is the only thing you can hold against hezabollah, but you know it was a friendly fire, and the shooter was delivered to authorities and judged.

Thumb slash 03 July 2012, 11:05

really Mowaten, you are going that low ? you are refering to a war period while here the only time we have war is when Hezb is losing his popularity ! jsut shut up moron , and the helicopter is not the only tragic one i can hold on Hezb , what about all the times when Hezb was forbiding the army and ISF to carry out investigations , what about the times that the filthy militia men were beating ISF members becasue of the illegal constructions , what about Lassa ... you want more loser ?

Thumb mowaten 03 July 2012, 12:16

the syrians accusing aoun only proves one thing: aoun was their enemy, not a low life murderer and collaborator like geagea. war time or not, there are types of people, and types of behavior. war crimes are not excusable just because "it's war time".

you are the one going low when you mention lhasa, a century-old land dispute, that started roughly 60 years before hezbollah even existed. walla bravo 3aleik.

What kind of state do they want? What is the "watan el chrakeh" they are talking about? When they say that the state is weak and cannot defend itself, that the internal order is absent, that there is no power, it is 100% true. They are in fact doing their best to acheive such goals since a powerful state cannot coexist with this militia. And they wonder why salafi movements and other sects are arming themselves...

Propaganda, propaganda! We want proof that they actually were Hizbullahwww members and not just words. It is because the incident happened in dahiyeh that those people are hizbullah members. It is as if something happens in Bchare and we put the blame on LF members. This big BS propaganda. And you the geha and co, you are so naive and believe enything you are swallowing it without trying to actually understand and analyse, you make me laugh and I have putty of you.

Normal reaction from an armed grp with no cause , with nothing to do on a daily basis ... they need to use their weapons because they are trained to kill , they dont know how to do something else ! they attack civilians , ISF , government and private institutions , they steal banks shoot people deal drugs, hassan is losing control and if he doesnt find a solution , he will suffer from his own men ! It is the beginning of the end of Hezb and all the syrian cronies in Lebanon ! A war cannot be won by people behaving like this and hassan knows it, so there will be no war. Hassan is dying and hizb and all his allies will fall together.

If all of you would just step back and read your own comments you would see the sectarian anger in pretty much all of them. All of you are just reciting articles and garbage from unconfirmed resources to prove what? The fact that presumed Lebanese citizens with your train of thinking and with such hatred should scare all of us. instead of making sectarian statements and disturbing ghosts of the past , we should all be thinking how to come up with solutions to save Lebanon from once again a slide to the abyss. We still have deep rooted hatred and need to understand not what religion or hizb a certain person belongs to but to ensure we are serving Lebanon. Grow up and rid yourself of these personal attacks and get out from behind the emails and go do Lebanon some good.

Missing anonymetexasusa 03 July 2012, 12:22

Funny
Yesterday we were wondering where was Hizbullah and why hasn't he condemned Bashar regime's violation and assault on Lebanese security agencies...
Apparently they were busy doing some assaults on Lebanese state security agencies of their own.

Missing beiruti 03 July 2012, 12:51

It is now in the culture of the people in Dahyieh that their motorcyle riders armed with assault rifles are entitled to such conduct, regardless of the law and of law enforcement. Why? Because this is the culture fostered by Hezbollah. A culture of confessional entitlement based on an armed presence justified by the need to resist an absent occupier who left 12 years ago.
It is not a national culture, but a tribal one. This culture, fostered by Hezbollah will not "build a strong state" but it will erode whatever state that there is in Lebanon.
That Hezbollah denied the incident means that it must be true.

OK. We dont like HA's weapons. What can we do about it? fight them? They are willing to die for their weapons- they have nothing to loose. we arent willing to die to let them remove their weapons. Let them keep their weapons. Soon the geopolitical regional situation will change. They will weaken by themselves... Be patient... Who would have thought that one day syrian workers would take refuge in Jounieh to escape chiites? things change. One day, IN DUE TIME. HA's weapons will go to the lebanese state...

Thumb the1phoenix 03 July 2012, 17:22

With every such act Hezbollah, Amal and by default our Shiite brethren will lose bit by bit crucial and vital sympathy in Lebanon. The only reason why Hezbollah is kept alive is because once upon a time they enjoyed massive public support from the Lebanese population. What they are doing now is gradually harden feeling towards them till the day will come when most doors and windows will be shut on their faces. It would be tragic, because if a lesson was to be learned from Syria, that would be to regain the hearts and minds of their fellow countrymen. Sadly, that's being eroded by none other but by HA and Amal. Time will come when they will bite their fingers in regret.
