Jumblat Rejects Raad Claims that Hizbullah in Liberation Stage, Calls on State Role

Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblat criticized Hizbullah for announcing that it is premature for political leaders to discuss the national defense strategy because the party is still in the liberation stage.

“I’ve heard a statement from MP Mohammed Raad that there would be no surrender of arms before liberation. I object to that because the Lebanese state is the side that decides the liberation of Shebaa farms and Kfarshouba hills through the means that it sees fit,” Jumblat told a delegation of Arab journalists.

“We had agreed during (national) dialogue sessions in 2006 to verify the ownership of the farms through demarcation … which should have been done with the Syrian state,” he said.

Not a single party can make a unilateral decision to liberate occupied land and then join the state, Jumblat, who is a centrist, said. “It doesn’t make sense.”

A proposal made by President Michel Suleiman during the last national dialogue session at Baabda palace states clearly how the authorities could take advantage of Hizbullah’s arsenal to defend Lebanon “and not the Islamic Republic or any other person,” the PSP chief stressed.

Raad’s remarks on Monday also drew harsh criticism from the March 14 opposition alliance.

On the crisis in Syria, Jumblat said a bombing in Damascus that killed three of Syrian President Bashar Assad’s aides does not mean Assad would surrender or leave the country.

“He will continue to confront” the rebels that have been fighting him since March last year. “That’s why speeding up the arming and funding of the Free Syrian Army would relieve the country from a lot of destruction.”

hizbushaitan and their followers fpm are driving Lebanon into a new confrentation with israel that will destroy the country totally.
aoun and his croenies will leave the country with the millions they got to retire in some other country, without any regret for all the hardships they caused to the Lebanese people.
they are the worst opportunists we ever saw, and the stupid followers of aoun will pay a deer price for following him.

This Jumb is a source of inducing division, hatrade and civil wars in Lebanon. He is a silly whippersnapper who tries his best to appear much bigger than his actual size

Only when the Government of the Lebanese Republic and the Lebanese Army finally realise that the only way for peace and harmony to succeed in Lebanon is to disarm Hisballah, by whatever force necessary, will the country finally reach its aims. After the hisballah it needs to take on those terrorist operating from the Palestinian refugee camps operated by UNWRA.

He's absolutely right , Raad showed by his previous remarks that Hezbollah doesn't really care about Lebanon. So Hezbollah has two choices :they can keep their weapons and will be heading towards a disaster or the accept to be integrated into the army and avoid the disaster

Which other country in its right mind would give (or sell) the Lebanese Army sophisticated arms knowing quite well that large quantities of it would immediately find its way to Hizballah soldiers which had been integrated(what a joke) into the national army.

Integrated into the Army? No way Jose,no state will take us serious and we wont be able to arm or Army with Hi-tech and serious weapons. And Mr Nassralla be wise and do the right thing for the sake of Lebanon.

Their lies are only accepted by those who are blinded by sectarianism. Hezbollah has nothing Lebanese in it besides the blood of its men that was put at the disposal of the Iranian regime.
The excuse of liberation is nothing but a continuing scam to keep justifying the illegal status of Hezbolah. The Lebanese who still support this Iranian party should understand that Lebanon is to pay very dearly for any actions that Hezbollah might take to satisfy its regional masters.

Starting a war with Israel will not save Assad so give it up Hizbollah and stop putting Lebanon into harm's way.

Whether Lebanon is "liberated" or not is not determinative of the national defense strategy or Hezbollah's relinquishment of its arms. Hezbollah is not armed to defend or to liberate Lebanon.
Hezbollah is armed as a forward brigade of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. It is a deterrent force set up to increase the cost of an Israeli preemptive military strike on Iranian nuclear facilities and therefore to deter such an attack.
Hezbollah or its weapons have absolutely nothing to do with the peace, security, liberation or defense of Lebanon.

RAAD ABD BAR2 and whatever have no interest in Lebanon. They get their $$$ from Iran and that is who they work for. In retrospect, things will never go the right way in Lebanon unless the Shiite stop thinking that they are the only one that can stop Israel which I don't think they can. Even Lebanon's army is not a match to the israeli- Best for us is to have a policy of non interference because of our social fabric and our inability to match the isreali war machine. Unless things change in the near future there there is no other way no matter what.
