Well-informed sources have told the Central News Agency that the anticipated meeting between Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Premier Saad Hariri has become a matter of a few hours away after all the requirements for such a meeting have been provided.

The sources noted that "the delay resulted from Hariri's current presence in Cyprus on an official visit."

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad mediated with Nasrallah in order to set up a meeting after Hariri told the Iranian leader he had made many attempts to meet Nasrallah without finding the desired response from Hizbullah, according to the sources.

While the same sources spoke of many factors that contributed to arranging the meeting, including the bid of Druze leader MP Walid Jumblat during his recent talks with Nasrallah in addition to Speaker Nabih Berri's efforts, opposition sources stressed that things have started to take a positive course.

Opposition sources added that the situations are heading towards pacification and solutions, especially in light of recent reports that the issuance of the indictment has been postponed to March.
