President Michel Suleiman on Tuesday received a phone call from his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who offered him condolences on the assassination of Intelligence Bureau chief Maj. Gen. Wissam al-Hasan and the rest of the victims.

As the Iranian president reiterated his condemnation of the crime, he extended Eid al-Adha greetings, hoping Lebanon will enjoy stability and prosperity, Lebanon's National News Agency said.

He also hoped “understanding and serenity will prevail among all the Lebanese for the sake of their country and its independence and sovereignty.”

Al-Hasan was assassinated in a massive car bombing in Ashrafiyeh on October 19. Two other people were killed and more than 100 wounded, as the blast gutted two apartment buildings.

The opposition March 14 forces have blamed Iran's ally Syria for the attack and demanded the resignation of the Hizbullah-led government.

Screw you!! This crime was ordered by Assad, approved by Ayatollah, and carried out with help from Hezbollah.

He's just like the guy who killed his friend the other day, and then afterward went to his funeral.

Wissam Al-Hasan and Wissam Eid discovered the evidence that HezbIran killed Hariri, and so they were both killed using car bombs.

The Hassan job was executed locally by infiltrating our security ranks, those are members of the SSNP that believe in greater Syria and no such thing as Lebanon, it's a murderous party and the job cannot be done by external entities without the major role of the internal individuals such as the person who revealed Samaha-Mamlouk deal. There will be another Ahmedinajed, Assad and Arafat who are willing to finance the unemployed dirty laundry in Lebanon but unfortunately our internal security systems will need to be purified.

Oh guys honestly lol, first some babies can't take a little criticism, so they remove comments to boost their egos? And its ok to spew pro Iran comments? Double standards, you dish it out, so will anyone else, deal with it. Now as for Ahmadinejad? Hmmm, when how many people were killed there a few years back for disagreeing with him "winning" another term in office? Did he cry? Don't think so. And why the lateness in the condolences? Can you geniuses who defend him explain? Secondly no real Lebanese cares what he says anyways, got enough outside interference going on.
