Army Dismantles New Rocket Aimed at Israel

The Lebanese army said it dismantled on Thursday another rocket in southern Lebanon after two similar rockets were fired towards Israel the day before but fell short.

The army command said in a communique that following the attack on Wednesday, the military and U.N. peacekeepers heavily patrolled the Marjayoun area where the rockets were launched from and found a new rocket on its launcher.

It said a judicial investigation has been launched to find the perpetrators.

The two rockets were fired on Wednesday from Marjayoun toward Israel but fell short and landed in southern Lebanon's al-Khiam valley, the army said.

On Monday, Lebanese officials also found and disarmed two rockets aimed at the Jewish state.

The two incidents coincided with a weeklong conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip that came to a halt on Wednesday following the announcement of an Egyptian-brokered cease-fire.

@The1phoenix

Missing peace 22 November 2012, 18:27

hezbis refuse to disarm palestinians otherwise it would mean they have to disarm too....

The Palestineans declared victory in the Gaza conflict. They were able to achieve this victory without military support from Lebanon. It's clear at this point that Gaza has military parity or superiority with Israel having defeated it in battle. There is no longer a need for the "Resistance."

I'm also amazed how the Lebanese regard people living in Lebanon for over 60 years, as well as their children, grandchildren and great granchildren as foreigners. It seems very hard to gain citiizenship in Lebanon.

What a victory? Could you imagine what they would look like if they lost?
Defeated Israel in battle? what TV stations have you been watching Al-Manat and Al-Kuds. The rest of the world has seen the truth.

Ya arturo, those people you are referring to are not only foreigners but refugees. As a matter of fact they are UNGRATEFUL refugees...and the day anyone thinks they will be granted a lebanese citizenship is the day the doors of hell will open!!!

Thumb shab 23 November 2012, 01:59

Agre, it's time for them to go home. The party is over

Missing fadi_damascus 24 November 2012, 15:27

As if you gave them anything to be grateful over roger. Besides, palestinians contribute MASSIVELY to the lebanese economy. In fact the pride period of yours before the civil war when lebanon was called switzerland of the middle east was thanks to Palestinian bankers and businessmen who set up business in lebanon aftr they were expelled from their homeland. Its scum like you who are ungrateful. By the way, nobody harmed lebanon more than lebanese themselves, especially the maronites. And before calling others ungrateful you hypocrite, go look att all the lebanese criminals who comitt the worst of crimes in their host countries in the west, africa and latin america.

Missing fadi_damascus 24 November 2012, 15:31

Last but not least, lebanon has already given citizenship to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, including certain celebraties that you take pride in. Go ahead and strip them of that racist citizenship. Nobody will loose except lebanon. And while ur at it, strip the syrians of the lebanese citizenship, and the yemenis, iraqis, kurds, armenians and syriacs and then lets see how many lebanese will remain. Not a single one as lebanese are all of non-lebanese origin as there is no lebanese origin. And you yourself roger is most likely of mixed syriac and yemenite origin as most maronites are.

Missing fadi_damascus 24 November 2012, 15:34

Yes, hopefully they will go home soon. You too should go home. Lebanon is part of syria, always will be so perhaps its time for you go reseek your real roots and move back to where your family came from before settling in lebanon. Or perhaps the west will take you. Lebanon will return to Syria and scum like you wont be welcomed when that happens.

maybe I am older than you :)
anyway, I learned over the years that every problem has a source. if hizbushaitan had agreed to execute what was agreed , we would not have this problem.
what you are saying is nearly the same as when nasrallah said "if I knew"
this is no excuse.
