Government Commissioner to the Military Tribunal Judge Saqr Saqr charged Sheikh Mohammed Ali Ismail al-Husseini with spying for Israel on Wednesday.

The army intelligence detained al-Husseini, who is the secretary-general of the Arabic-Islamic Council, last week after suspecting that he had collaborated with the Israeli Mossad.

The cleric is a strong critic of Hizbullah, Iran and Syria.

Saqr issued the charges under article 278 of the penal code which stipulates hard labor from three to ten years and article 72 for carrying weapons.

The judge referred al-Husseini to the first military examining magistrate.

it is nothing but an expected act to eliminate anyone who does not give blind loyalty to hezbollah.their motto ,just like the mother land of Persia ,IF YOU'RE NOT WITH US,THEN YOU ARE AN ENEMY.unfortunatley we will see more and more of this type fascism and will eventually reach other part of the country from different demographic and religious sect.this in short is what Hezbollah trying to achieve,a nation of SHEEP.

Spying is Spying. It goes against the common goal of keeping things in order.

There are 2 kinds of spying in Lebanon. Spying on Lebanon and spying on the Iranian Hizballah. I don't those 2 types should be equal.

There are 2 kinds of spies in Lebanon. The likes of Sheikh Husseini and those who hold high posts as we have learned from the Wikileaks documents.
