Qassem: Those Serving Israeli Goals behind Bir al-Abed Attack

Hizbullah deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem stated on Friday that the party was expecting to be the target of an attack like the one that took place in the Bir al-Abed neighborhood in Beirut's southern suburb of Dahieh on Tuesday.

He said on the seventh anniversary of the eruption of the July 2006 war: “The Dahieh blast is part of a plan to target the resistance and those backing Israel's agendas were behind it.”

“We are being targeted and Dahieh is an open area that can easily be reached by anyone,” he added.

“We are awaiting the results of the investigation to find out who planted the explosive,” remarked Qassem.

The first leads indicate that forces seeking strife and serving Israeli goals are behind the blast, he said.

He therefore stressed the need to prevent any instability, while questioning the Arab silence over the incident.

Moreover, he linked the Bir al-Abed blast to the one that took place in the Shiyyah neighborhood in May, saying: “Some sides want to create strife in order to spark confusion within the resistance.”

“Hizbullah won't be dragged into strife and it will do all it can to prevent it,” emphasized Qassem.

At least 50 people were wounded in the car bomb attack in Bir al-Abed on Tuesday.

In May, four people were wounded in a rocket attack on the Shiyyah neighborhood in Beirut's southern suburbs.

Addressing ties between Hizbullah and the Change and Reform bloc of MP Michel Aoun in light of claims of a rift between them, Qassem said: “I would like to assure all sides that our relationship with the MP is still strong.”

“It is natural for us to have differences over internal issues, but they will not affect the 2006 Memorandum of Understanding we have with the Free Patriotic Movement,” he declared.

Some sides made “impulsive” comments about the ties, but they have since been withdrawn, he added.

“Hizbullah does not need advice on how to deal with the components of the Lebanese society,” he stated.

....and Yes....Caretaker FM Adnan Mansour requested that Lebanon's Ambassador to the U.N. Nawwaf Salam file a complaint over Israel's abduction of two Lebanese from Kfarshouba. .....and, No.... what is happening at the lebanese syrian border does not require a complaint!

This guy has only one neuron. And this single neuron is fixated on Israel.

This mentality of blaming others for one's mistakes and lack of taking responsibility is one of the prime reasons of of failure in the business and political world.

“Hizbullah won't be dragged into strife and it will do all it can to prevent it,” emphasized Qassem.
Oh really?? Then what do you call it when you send young men to fight the Syrian people in their own homes?? That is not dragging the whole Lebanon into strife?? Qassem, who are you fooling you piece of garbage?? Go bend over to your Farsi masters in Iran...

We are being targeted and Dahieh is an open area that can easily be reached by anyone,” he added................
Interpretation: THis is our security zone, even LAF and ISF are not allowed here.

Missing helicopter 12 July 2013, 17:20

We are awaiting the results of the investigation to find out who planted the explosive,” remarked Qassem...............
Interpretation: Qasems previous claim that the blast is the work of those working Israeli goals is just a generic cut/paste type of proclamation intended for the primitive minds of HA followers.

The first leads indicate that forces seeking strife and serving Israeli goals are behind the blast, he said............
Interpretation: So this is a repeat of what he said earlier, because the primitive minds needs repetition to sink in. Cut and paste makes repetition easier.

Hizbullah does not need advice on how to deal with the components of the Lebanese society,” he stated.............
Interpretation: Those with us are ashraf elnass, all others are traitors working for the American/Zionist project.

With all due respect sheikh, stop blaming Israel for everything, the Shia are not so ignorant, they know and you know who did it. It was at the order of the Saudi ambassador In Beirut, he made the threat to you directly a week before the explosion. We are sick and tired of blaming Israel bull-rhetoric.

When all fails, blame it on Israel, aka scape goat. So with this twisted logic, Israel comes very handy and beneficial to H.A.'s deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem. I used to, but I can no longer give H.A. the benefit of the doubt which has been very difficult from the beginning. (This is not to say that I support the sorry excuse of human beings, the Salafist, Jihadist and Al-Qaida types). I no longer see a silver lining In H.A.'s Iranian Plan for Lebanon. Prolonging the sectarian conflict in Lebanon directly benefits Israel.

You lebanese amaze me. You all write about how much you despise hezb. You all have guns which you wave and fire in the air at every opportunity. Yet you never, unlike all your arab brethren lately, do anything to fight hezb. Where is YOUR arab spring? Instead, you rail at the Israeli boogyman. The funnything is, if not for hezb, Israel wouldn't pay any attention to you at all. They woulldn't overfly you,or invade you, or prepare contingency plans that call for your destruction in event of war. You might even become a prosperous nation living in peace .

.ets cut through the phony BS. Watch Egypt. As goes Egypt, as goes the region. The Arab Spring died not in Quaisyr, but in Cairo when the SCARF reassumed authority in the country and put Morsi under arrest. There is no democracy in the region because of actors like the Moslem Brotherhood. The use the mechanism of democracy to gain power only to implement Koranic law once thy gain Power. The international community cannot tolerate radical Islamic states. That there have been brutal autocrats in power in the region is not bay mistake but by design.

Thumb beiruti 15 July 2013, 00:33

The Autocratic dictators do the dirty work for the international community by keeping their boot on the necks of these movements. So, the Generals are back in Egypt. The strategic decision has been made in Washington and Moscow that The Assad Regime should survive, after we have had a glimpse of what a post-Assad Syria would look like.
This being the case, who is the agent carrying out the wishes of Washington (Israel) and Moscow?? Hezbollah is that agent. Yes, Israel serves the West and Hezbollah is Israel's servant in putting down the Brotherhood in Syria and seeing to the survival of Assad as the guarantor that the Brotherhood not come to power.
