Israeli Commandos Cross Blue Line, Kidnap Syrian Shepherd

Israeli commando troops on Tuesday crossed the border of the occupied Shebaa Farms and abducted a Syrian shepherd, the state-run National News Agency reported.

"Syrian refugee Mohammed al-Badawi was kidnapped after the commandos crossed the Blue Line between the Golan Heights and the Shebaa Farms and advanced 100 meters into Lebanon,” the NNA detailed.

"The 30 years old Syrian hails from the Beit Jen town in Damascus' countryside and was grazing his flock at the time of the abduction.”

The latest Israeli violation of the border took place last Wednesday when four Israeli soldiers were injured in a landmine blast along the northern border with Lebanon.

The patrol of the Israeli army penetrated 400 meters inside Lebanon in the Labbouneh area at 00:24 local time, a statement released by the Lebanese Armed Forces said.

Meanwhile on July 8, a 15-member Israeli commando force crossed the border of the occupied Shebaa Farms and abducted Lebanese shepherd Youssef Hussein Rhayyel.

Rhayyel was freed later that night, several media outlets reported.

Damn them for having absolutely no regard for Lebanese sovereignty.

Thumb zahle1 13 August 2013, 22:23

Who the Syrian shepherd on Lebanese soil or the Israeli commandos? They both should be arrested!

Thumb Senescence 13 August 2013, 22:33

Agreed. Both are transgressors.
The Israeli commandos prosecuted more harshly, because, well, they're commandos.

I recently read a tag in my city saying "nobody is illegal".

benzona: does that apply to Palestinian refugees who'd like to return to their homes?

Hold on a minute.
"Syrian refugee Mohammed al-Badawi" If he is a refugee how exactly did he manage to take his flocks across the border into Lebanon when he fled Syria. This is the first time that I have heard a story like this.

Thumb _mowaten_ 14 August 2013, 11:21

true, flocks are like buildings, they can't be moved around. thank you phillipo for spotting out the outrageous lies behind this incident.
israelis must have known that and this is why they legitimately violated the border to investigate on that.

Thumb benzona 14 August 2013, 15:37

Nah,

Chebaa farms are Syrian.

Thumb _mowaten_ 14 August 2013, 20:00

nah, they're not.

As long as they don't cross the red line, then we're fine ;-)

Thumb cedre 14 August 2013, 01:30

we have an army for that, no need HA use the excuse for internal reasons...

"well for Egypt, once in more than 30 years" - When exactly?
"Palestinians discuss with Israelis, why not Lebanese?"
Simple. The Palestinian Authority has a terrorist group, Hamas, trying to destroy any chance of the peace talks with Israel succeeding. Lebanon has a terrorist organisation, Hizballah, which will try to destroy any chances of peace/ending of state of war talks with Israel.

Mrs.phillip
For the hundredth time we as Lebanese are not against an Israeli Peace Treaty ,
Just take back " Your " created Refugees from our country & settle them in the West Bank .
Give us back our Shebaa Farms
Resettle the current Syrian Refugees in " Thier " land called the Golan Heights that are currently in Lebanon
Also stop stealing our resources such as our Water, Gas , & Oil
As well as stop illegal trespassing into our sovereign land whether by military jets, drones , or Your shin Beit ,Mossad , or your IDF.
Then Lebanon wil be more than happy to entertain our southern neighbour for a Peace Treaty !
Until then Mrs. Phillip the government you work for at the moment tell them that otherwise it is wishful thinking , Israel does not exist & never exist !!!!!
Signed Wolf ......

Once again you persist in your personal insults.
I won't even both lowering myself to your level this time in trying to answer them. When I was about 6 years old I learned that talking to a stone wall is a waste of time, and now this applies exactly to you.
I glad that you know something I don't, that I work for the Israeli Government. I certainly wish that I could get myself a second salary, on top of that from the company where I do work here in Manchester, which for your information is in England, not Israel.
By the way, if as you say, "Israel does not exist", how is it that the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Lebanon files a complaint against it at the UN?
You start your comments with "Israeli Peace Treaty", and end it with "Israel does not exist & never exist" Make up your mind!!!!

i thought you wanted peace philippo!? now that wolf tells you the actual legitimate minimum requirements for making peace possible, you completely dodge them... weird, kinda reminds me of what your peeps are doing in the west bank (claim they want to talk peace while they continue to grab land and build settlements)
