Syria Wants Lebanon To 'Stay Out' of Its War

Syria on Wednesday said it wants Lebanon “to stay out” of its ongoing war, amid reports about an anticipated western strike on the neighboring country.
"We want Lebanon to stay away from the negative repercussions that are affecting the region,” Syria's ambassador to the United Nations Bashar al-Jaafari stated in a speech he gave at the headquarters of the U.N. in New York.
Al-Jaafari elaborated: "The results of regional turmoil can include terrorist operations launched by Salafist groups just like those that targeted (the southern city of) Sidon and (the northern city of) Tripoli.”
Syria does not want Lebanon to be a side in this war, he stressed.
Regarding Hizbullah's possible participation in the war, the Syrian envoy said: “If Israel launched an attack on Syria, we all know what would be the repercussions of such a step.”
Momentum has been building for international action against Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime after the suspected chemical strikes on August 21 which are said to have killed hundreds on the outskirts of Damascus.
However, Syria's deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Muqdad said the West had pushed anti-regime rebels to use poison gas, while blaming it on the government, as a pretext for a U.S.-led military intervention.
The neighboring country's premier Wael al-Halqi warned on Wednesday that Syria will turn into a "graveyard of the invaders" in case of a Western military intervention.

Ok they occupied Lebanon for more than 30 years with their army and Moukabarat. They were behind so many assassinations of so many Lebanese politicians.. They interfere in every Lebanese internal matter. They used the help of Hizbullah to win some battles in Syria. They use Hizbullah as a tool to threaten the western countries... And now they don't want Lebanon to interfere in their war... Hypocrites can't even start to describe them... May they all burn in hell...
Till this day I still hear the sound of their bombs of their tanks and artilleries when they bombed Zahle and so many other cities in Lebanon... I want all those regime thugs to be hung, and I know it is coming…

Here is the correct analysis, something that we already know. So, Syria wants Lebanon to stay out, but regarding Hizbullah's possible participation in the war, If Israel launched an attack on Syria, bla, bla, bla. OK, had enough. So, the Syrian Mob Bosses are admitting that H.A. is not a Lebanese organization, not created to represent Lebanon's interest, performs and serves at the pleasure of Iran and Syria. I am now thinking that there is a true resistance deep inside of H.A., and that resistance, rightfully so, is directed towards the oppressive elements of the Sunni Clan. Like Muslin Bros, Al-Qaeda, etc. So, don't tell us you're resisting against Israel. What did your involvement in Syria's conflict do to liberate the Palestinians?

Since the beginning actually, even though they claimed that their purpose was to protect lebanon, their actions provided clues that that this was not #1 on their agenda. Using civil infrastructure(hospitals, schools...)and civilian areas for their operational activities(weapons storage, attack launch...) without regard for the fact that this turns those sites into military targets. Not only that, but even antagonizing israel as to provoke retaliation and ensure that these areas suffer damage. This is clearly not in the interest of lebanon and extremely careless and irresponsible. A military that represents its state never operates in this manor; only terrorist groups(h.a., hamas...) that dont value life.

The christains are being cleansed from the land. No one cares that 67 churches in Egypt have been destroyed in the last month! No one care that 2 million Christians in Iraq have been exiled. No one cares that they are being targeted in Syria... Now the last bastion of christidom in the middle east, Lebanon, they are about to be engulfed by this Muslim civil war.

But the main stream Sunni tolerate salafi, al Qaida loving extremists that hate everyone that doesn't believe and practice their form of religion. This is the problem at the moment. The Ba'ath party, and Presidant Assad is now being portrayed as the good against this evil. I have always been against the Ba'ath Syrians, but now against this evil... We can only have one choice upon which to side.

Some of what you stated is true, the rest is wishful thinking and also naive regarding what happens next. You realize what it means to have al-Qaeda barbarians in command of weapons that belong to an army? You realize what it means to have al-Qaeda barbarians go into civilian areas inhabited by non-Sunnis? You realize what it means to have al-Qaeda barbarians in Lebanon? That's a day none of my ancestors even imagined close to happening [again]. Beheadings and throat slitting, suicide car bombs, cannibalism, exploiting of children to train them on death and destruction... these are all signs of the lowest form of civilization. Nothing comes even close!
