A meeting was held between Hizbullah and the Mustaqbal Movement in an attempt to preserve peace and deter tension in Lebanon as the result of any possible developments in Syria, media reports revealed on Saturday.

The An Nahar daily said that “indirect contacts” between the two parties were held, adding that “a Hizbullah affiliate held a meeting with Mustaqbal officials expressing willingness to exert all efforts needed to preserve calm in the streets and avoid any reactions over the unrest in Syria.”

The meeting left an atmosphere of “relief”, according to information “and was valued as a positive sign to deal with any possible repercussions on the internal arena as the result of the future developments in Syria.”

President Barack Obama emphasized on Friday that he had made no “final decision” on unleashing a military strike against Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime, who is accused of using chemical weapons against his own people and killing 1,429 on August 21, but he gave the clearest indication yet that an attack was imminent.

A meeting to preserve peace? haven't Mostakbal learned not to trust this so called resistance.
They will egnite the situation, form a government or anything alse that needs to be done only when it suits them. They are in full control of all government institutions and the army. All others without exception, watch as HA control Lebanon's internal and external polices with total immunity and disregard of ever one else. Why should they, all others from the President down are nothing but powerless spineless cowards, they sit there weening as they take blow after blow.

I thought mustakbal are all Israeli American traitors whose sole aim is to destroy hizbulla. What are these two groups doing together now? All of a sudden they are buddies. What a load of crap, these politicians are playing us Lebanese for fools and we are dumb enough to cheer and jump and dance for them.

I hope Mustaqbal is keeping it to the minimum.... we don't negotiate with terrorists, especially when they kill the Team Leader aka Rafic Hariri.
