State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr on Wednesday charged 15 suspects, seven of whom are in custody, for firing rockets at Baabda and Beirut's southern suburbs.

The seven suspects include two Lebanese and five Syrians, said the state-run National News Agency.

But NNA did not disclose the nationalities of the rest of the network's members who were charged in absentia.

The charges against the 15 suspects include forming an armed terrorist group to carry out terrorist activities, and buying explosives in addition to launching rockets toward Baabda and Beirut's southern suburbs.

If convicted, the suspects face the death penalty.

In May, a pair of rockets slammed into a car dealership and a residential building in the stronghold of Hizbullah in Beirut's southern suburbs, wounding four people.

Later in June, the so-called Ballouneh cell was involved in a failed rocket attack on Yarze and the Baabda area.

Reports had said that the members of the cell intended to target the Defense Ministry in Yarze and the presidential palace in Baabda. But one rocket hit a high-voltage power line in a nearby town and a second rocket failed to launch.

The launchpads were found in the Kesrouan town of Ballouneh.

Truth always hurts, I know!

Get over it, Bachar is digging his own grave by the hour, Aoun is digging his political one.

Southern,

There is no doubt it is ridiculous to blame anyone without evidence. If M14 supporters did that, then they were careless. However, for you to claim these terrorists are supported by M14, please explain yourself. Just because M14 has Sunni membership, and a minority of Sunni are terrorist, does not mean, M14 supports terrorism. When you say these one sided things, it hurts your credibility on here.

You cannot paint with such a wide brush. If you are from the South you should know this. Those terrorists are captured may be Syrians, let's say they are. M14 does support the rebels. Many rebels are Sunni, most are Sunni. I am sure we agree on this. However, M14 is made up of Sunni, moderate Sunni. These are the people M14 supports. The tough part, that nobody is talking about, is there is a significant percentage of the rebels who are terrorists, like Al Nusra....that are on the same team as the more moderate Sunni. This is a dynamic that is tough to manage. We cannot afford to let extremist Sunni to take over Syria if they drive out Assad. I do not believe in Syria of all countries want an extremist Salafist government if Assad is gone, just like most Egyptians don't.

Again, not all Sunni support extremism but do admit there are plenty of Sunni extremists fighting against Assad. Just like not all Shia want to keep Christians from selling liquor in the South, we can't exaggerate to the level you have. Southern, you have to admit, that the Assad regime assassinated many political foes in Lebanon. Assad has held down many areas in Lebanon via its influence over the years. This is why many of us are against him. Israel is not to blame for 100% of these assassinations. We all know this. So let's not pretend Assad has been such a friend all of the years they ran Lebanon.
