Geagea Calls on Faction to Adopt President's Independence Speech as Roadmap

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea called on the rival Lebanese parties to adopt President Michel Suleiman's Independence Day speech as a roadmap to resolve the current crises in light of the Baabda Declaration.

“Salvation can only occur through the formation of an active cabinet that wouldn't be paralyzed, reviving the work of the parliament, the withdrawal from Syria and carrying out the presidential elections on time without any obstruction,” Geagea said in a statement issued by his press office on Saturday.

Qaouq: Syrian Gunmen Must Withdraw from Lebanon before Hizbullah Pulls out from Syria

Hizbullah official Sheikh Nabil Qaouq urged on Saturday the March 14 camp to realize the dangerousness of “Israeli takfiri terrorism” and lift their protection off Syrian gunmen in Lebanon.

He remarked: “The other camp should demand the withdrawal of Syrian gunmen from Lebanon before demanding the pull out of Hizbullah from Syria.”

DNA Samples Confirm Moein Abu Dahr, Adnan Mohammed as Iranian Embassy Suicide Bombers

DNA samples from the father of Moein Abu Dahr and the relatives of Adnan Mohammed confirmed that they are the suicide bombers who targeted the Iranian Embassy in Beirut in an attack that killed at least 23 people.

The army command issued a communique confirming that the test on Adnan Abu Dahr showed that human remains at the scene of the attacks belonged to his son, Mouein.

Report: Israeli Officer Expects Attack against Lebanon before Strike against Iran

Asiri: Saudi Embassy in Beirut Has Not Received Any Threats

Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awadh Asiri thanked Lebanese officials who voiced their commitment to ensuring the safety of his country's embassy in Beirut in light of the kingdom's advisory to its citizens to leave Lebanon, reported the Saudi newspaper Okaz on Saturday.

He told the daily: “The embassy has not received any threats and Lebanon is a fraternal state.”

Army Circulates New Picture of 'Dangerous Fugitive' Possibly Linked to Bir Hassan Bombings

The army circulated on Friday evening the picture of a “dangerous fugitive” without revealing the crime he committed, while media reports said it might belong to one of the Iranian embassy suicide attackers.

The army urged in a released communique anyone that recognizes the person in the picture to contact the caretaker Defense Ministry by dialing 1701, or using the military institution’s smart phone application LAF Shield.

Moussawi: Resistance Can't Wait for National Approval, Its Sacrifices Made Independence Day Possible

Hizbullah MP Nawwaf al-Moussawi stated on Friday that the resistance has never asked for national consensus since its establishment, noting also that there would have not been Independence Day if it weren't for the party's sacrifices.
