Madrid Gets Own Version of Hollywood Walk of Fame

Penelope Cruz, Pedro Almodovar and Antonio Banderas were among 25 Spanish film stars honored with a sidewalk plaque on Madrid's new Walk of Fame, which was inaugurated Monday.

The granite, marble and steel plaques feature a large star and the celebrity's name, like the ones on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which has become one of Los Angeles' top tourist draws since it opened in 1960.

German Passenger Strips Naked on Flight

A German passenger stripped naked on an Iberia flight from Madrid to Frankfurt, forcing the pilot to turn the plane around so he could be removed, the airline said Friday.

"A German passenger took all his clothes off on the plane," on Thursday night, an Iberia spokeswoman said.

Baby Girl Born in Sky on Malabo-Madrid Flight

An airline passenger gave birth to a baby girl Friday while flying to Madrid from central Africa, helped by a midwife, pediatrician and doctor who were all aboard, Iberia said.

The three-kilogram (6.6-pound) baby was born healthy after a quick delivery during an Iberia Airbus A319 flight from Malabo, capital of Equatorial Guinea, the Spanish airline said in a statement.

Iberia Airliner Evacuated in Chile after Bomb Threat

Chilean authorities evacuated passengers and crew from an Iberia airline flight to Madrid, Spain, following a bomb threat Sunday. Police said later they arrested a Chilean woman in the case.

Authorities said a team from Chile's civil aviation agency searched the airliner and found no explosives.
