IS Militants Vow to 'Dethrone' Putin over Syria Support

Hollande Says 'Military' Response May be Necessary to Fight IS

French President Francois Hollande on Wednesday raised the prospect of a military response to the threat posed by Islamic State extremists occupying swathes of Iraq and Syria, saying it may be necessary.

U.S. Official Says IS 'Not Invincible', Weakened by Air Raids

Islamic State jihadists in Iraq and Syria pose a genuine threat to the West but are "not invincible," and U.S. air strikes have exposed their weaknesses, a top U.S. intelligence official said Wednesday.

NGO: Regime Air Strike Kills 10 Children in East Syria

Sixteen people, among them 10 children, were killed in a government air raid in east Syria on Wednesday, a monitor said, but state media blamed the deaths on jihadist militants.

Reports: Murdered U.S. Journalist Held Israel Citizenship
