Doctor Firass Abiad, head of the main public hospital treating COVID-19 patients in Lebanon, warned Sunday that the country is on the brink of “losing control” in its battle against the coronavirus pandemic, a day after it saw its highest daily tally since the first case was recorded on February 21.
