Two people accused of holding three women captive in a London house for 30 years were released on bail Friday, as Britain struggled to come to terms with its worst case of modern-day slavery.

The man and a woman, both 67, were bailed pending further police investigation into the "barbaric" plight of the women, who include a 30-year-old who detectives believe spent her entire life in servitude.

N. Korea Threatens 'Sea of Fire' for S. Korea President HQ

North Korea on Friday marked the anniversary of its shelling of a South Korean border island with a threat to turn South Korea's presidential office into a "sea of fire.”

The threat came as the South's army, navy, air force and marine corps launched an intensive military drill on and around Yeonpyeong Island in memory of the incident in which four people were killed in November 2010.

Kerry Urges North Korea to Free U.S. Veteran
