A psychiatrist can't transform players into Johan Cruyff or Diego Maradona, but the England staff are confident Dr. Steve Peters will help the team be ready for the World Cup.
England manager Roy Hodgson confirmed on Tuesday he will use the sports psychiatrist in the lead-up to the tournament in Brazil.
Peters has previously worked with Liverpool, and enjoys a close relationship with England captain Steven Gerrard. Peters has also worked with the British cycling team.
Hodgson said: "It is not just any psychologist. It is Dr. Steve Peters, who is a very famous man in that area."
With 100 days to go before the World Cup, England starts its final preparations with a friendly against Denmark on Wednesday at Wembley.
