Berri: Issue of False Witnesses Should be Solved Through Consensus or Voting
Speaker Nabih Berri has told his visitors that he is keen on solving the issue of false witnesses either through consensus or voting, the National News Agency reported.
Among Berri’s visitors on Friday, was State Minister Adnan Qassar who said he discussed with the speaker false witnesses and the international tribunal.
Qassar said he stressed to Berri the importance of resuming cabinet meetings to consolidate constitutional institutions and solving the issue of false witnesses as soon as possible.
“I also stressed to him on the importance of not linking this file (issue of false witnesses) to the functions of the cabinet or the national dialogue,” the minister said.
“Tension only leads to more complications. In this sense, all political forces should find a solution,” he added.
