Two Russian TV Journalists Injured in East Ukraine

Two journalists from Russian television channel Ren TV were hurt by mortar fire in eastern Ukraine on Tuesday, a day after one of their colleagues was shot and killed there.

Reporter Denis Kulaga and cameraman Vadim Yudin were hurt when a "mortar shell exploded next to them" in the Lugansk area not far from the Russian border, the liberal station announced on Twitter.

Russia denounced the incident as a deliberate attack on journalists and media workers, three of whom have been killed in Ukraine in the last few weeks.

Anatoly Kyan, a 68-year-old cameraman with Russian state television Channel One, was shot dead in the eastern Ukraine city of Donetsk on Monday.

Italian photographer Andrea Rocchelli was killed by mortar fire near Slaviansk at the end of May with his Russian assistant Andrei Mironov.
