Air Strike on Rebel-Held Donetsk Overnight, No Casualties
An "air strike" was carried out on the main rebel stronghold of Donetsk in east Ukraine overnight but caused no civilian casualties, local authorities said Wednesday.
"The district of Kalininski was hit overnight by an air strike... there were no civilian victims," the city said in a statement, adding that one bomb had left a four-meter (13-foot) wide and 1.5-meter deep hole in the road.
