Fadel Shaker Back in Sight
Former singer and fugitive Fadel Shaker has been spotted on Saturday wandering, along with his bodyguards, in the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh, al-Akhbar daily reported Monday.
Surveillance cameras in the camp also spotted Shaker accompanying his nephew, the daily added.
Shaker had fled justice more than a year ago following bloody incidents that erupted in Abra, a neighborhood of the southern city of Sidon, between the army and supporters of the Salafist cleric Sheikh Ahmed al-Asir.
Sidon’s clashes were the most intense bouts of violence in Lebanon linked to the conflict in Syria, and have resulted in the death of at least 16 troops.
Al-Asir, is still on the run.
