Knife Attack Leaves Woman Dead, 2 Hurt in Dinniyeh
A knife attack left a woman dead and two others wounded on Friday in the northern district of Dinniyeh, state-run National News Agency reported.
“Masked assailants stabbed F. al-Hajj to death this evening as she was visiting her daughter in the Dinniyeh town of Bakhoun,” NNA said.
“Her daughter B. al-Hussein was critically wounded in the attack and was rushed to Tripoli's state-run hospital for treatment,” the agency added.
A woman identified as A. Qaddour was also injured in the incident, according to NNA.
“The two attackers fled to an unknown destination as Lebanese army troops and members of the Internal Security Forces arrived on the scene and launched investigations into the incident in order to unveil the circumstances and pursue the culprits,” the agency said.
