Three Dead in Gypsy Camp Shootout in France

Three people were killed and four others seriously wounded on Tuesday in a shootout at a gypsy camp in northern France, authorities said.

Among the victims were a man, a woman and a young child, while two police officers and a child were wounded

Also wounded was the man who allegedly opened fire first.

It was not immediately clear what triggered the violence in the northern town of Roye, about 110 kilometers (68 miles) north of Paris.
