The dead body of an Islamic State militant was found in the al-Ajram area in the outskirts of the northeastern town of Arsal, the state-run National News Agency reported on Monday.
Hussam Trad, aka Abou Bakr al-Qari, was found sustaining a gunshot wound to his head, NNA added.
Al-Qari was killed five days ago by an Islamic State militant over conflicts among the ranks of the group group against the backdrop of their battles with al-Nusra Front.
Early this year, fierce clashes broke out between al-Nusra Front and the IS rival jihadist groups in the outskirts of Arsal, leaving several militants dead and wounded from both groups.
The clashes erupted after the IS tried to control positions of al-Nusra.
Armed groups have taken positions in the outskirts of Arsal since the 2014 battles with the Lebanese army after the former tried to control military positions in the town.
