House of Ex-Municipal Chief in Akkar Sprayed with Bullets
Unknown assailants shot firearms on Saturday on the house of the former municipal chief of the town of Bazzal in the northern region of Akkar, the state-run National News Agency reported.
“The assailants opened fire on the house of Sheikh Hatem Othman inflicting material damages on the house but no casualties were reported,” said NNA.
“The incident triggered a state of chaos in the town,” it added.
The security forces kicked off investigations into the incident to uncover the perpetrators.
