Firefighters Battling Huge Wildfire in Ain el-Rihaneh, Bkirki
Firefighters and army helicopters were on Tuesday battling a huge wildfire that has been raging since Monday evening in the forests of the Keserwan town of Ain el-Rihaneh and the Daroun Valley.
The blaze spread Tuesday to the outskirts of Aintoura and Bkirki's mountain.
Strong winds, the region's steep slopes and the lack of routes have complicated the firefighting efforts and contributed to the spread of the flames.
