Aoun in Bkirki, al-Rahi Announces Full Support for President
President Michel Aoun accompanied with outgoing Foreign Minister Jebran Bassil met with Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi at Bkirki on Thursday.
During a speech marking the occasion, Rahi said: “The presidency and the patriarchate work together for Lebanon,” as he announced full support to President Aoun.
Commenting on the process of the government formation and the wrangling over portfolios, Rahi said: “The priority today is to form a council of ministers away from putting pre-conditions, clinging to some ministerial portfolios or putting vetoes against political parties.”
