Prime Minister Saad Hariri toured the capital Beirut on Sunday on the occasion of New Year’s Eve and stressed that “there is no political crisis in the country.”
“We hope to remain united in order to build this country,” Hariri said from the Dar al-Aytam orphanage.
“I have chosen to be at this place because children are the future,” he added.
Hariri later inspected the Helou Barracks of the Internal Security Forces.
“There is no political crisis in the country and all things can be resolved,” he said, referring to the spat between President Michel Aoun and Speaker Nabih Berri.
“I’m always optimistic because we went through tougher difficulties,” he noted.
