Mentally Troubled Mother Murders Daughter, Injures the Other
A mother of two who suffered from “mental health disorders” has stabbed her two young daughters killing one of them in the northern region of Wadi Khaled, the National News Agency reported on Friday.
The woman, who was identified by her initials as R.Aa, committed the crime at 1:00 a.m. Friday in Jabal Mansoura-Mashta Hasan neighborhood.
She stabbed to death her six-year old daughter before trying to stab the other one, 9 years, in her neck, but the young girl managed to escape, said NNA.
Paramedics took the girl to the hospital and her condition was reported as stable, said the agency.
The woman has admitted to killing her daughter and surrendered herself to the security services.
NNA said, she suffers from mental disorders and has tried to commit suicide previously.
