Presidency Says Aoun Underwent Routine Medical Checks

President Michel Aoun underwent "routine medical checks" at the Hotel Dieu hospital on Wednesday afternoon before returning to the Baabda Palace in the evening, the Presidency said.

Al-Jadeed TV said had earlier reported that Aoun underwent medical checks and an MRI scan for 40 minutes.

It added that the president left the hospital amid strict security measures.
