Haiti has become the latest country to recognize Kosovo's independence, Pristina's foreign ministry said on Saturday.
"Haiti is the 87th country that has recognized the independence of Kosovo," a ministry statement said.
The decision was announced by Haiti's Foreign Minister Laurent Lamothe after a meeting with his Kosovo counterpart Enver Hoxhaj in the Caribbean country's capital, it added.
Kosovo unilaterally declared independence from Serbia in 2008 and has been recognized by most European Union members and the United States.
On February 17, Pristina will mark the fourth anniversary of its split from Serbia.
Belgrade refuses to recognize an independent Kosovo and still considers the territory its southern province.
