WATCH: Lebanese teenager Ramadan Ondash knocks out Thai fighter on debut in Thailand

Seventeen-year-old Lebanese Muay Thai star Ramadan Ondash picked up an impressive knockout win on his ONE Championship debut in Thailand.

The Lebanese teenager produced a remarkable performance at ONE Friday Fights 49 inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, knocking out his experienced Thai counterpart Yangdam at 1:20 in the first round.

In a catchweight (56.06 Kg) Muay Thai clash, Ondash started with a clean, two-punch combination. The young Lebanese star continued to utilize his punching power but focused on targeting his opponent’s body with direct shots.

A left punch knocked down Yangdam for the first time early in the fight, but the 24-year-old Thai managed to stand up on his feet.

Moments later, Ondash scored again with another clean punch to the body, dropping Yangdam again to the canvas and failed to answer the referee’s call.

With this superb debut win, Ondash opens his ONE account in style while also improving his overall professional Muay Thai/Kickboxing record to 8-2.

In a post-fight interview, the young Lebanese talent said his eldest brother Ahmad had identified a weakness in Yangdam’s game, encouraging him to target his opponent’s body with punches.

Ondash also gifted his impressive win to his friend and training partner at Tiger Muay Thai, Fariyar Aminipour, who passed away in a motorcycle accident earlier this month.

Ondash comes from a family of professional fighters. His father was a wrestler while his two brothers Abdullah and Ahmad are Muay Thai professionals.
