Hizbullah’s international relations officer, Ammar al-Moussawi, on Monday slammed “those occupying ministerial posts and making wrong bets,” accusing them of “impeding the government’s productivity.”
“This government is supposed to be responsible for the national duties, topped by the responsibility for preserving social and economic stability,” Moussawi said.
“Therefore, those who should bear the responsibility for the negligence are those whose bets are pushing them to try to obstruct or delay the task of government’s productivity,” he added, accusing some ministers of “betting on certain changes or developments.”
The government on Monday resumed its sessions after a hiatus of more than a month prompted by several disputes among its members.
Among the topics of contention were administrative appointments and a transportation allowance decree linked to a recent wage hike approved by the cabinet.
“Wrong bets are not limited to those in the opposition camp, as certain people are occupying ministerial posts and making wrong bets,” Moussawi added.
