The death toll from a Russian strike in the eastern Ukrainian city of Balakliya has risen to three, the city military administration chief said on Monday.
"According to preliminary information, three people were killed as a result of the night missile strike on the city of Balakliya," Vitali Karabanov said in a post on Telegram, adding that "another 10 people were wounded".
The Russian army meanwhile seized three more villages across eastern Ukraine.
Moscow said its troops had captured the settlements of Gai in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Platonivka in the Donetsk region, and Dvorichanske in the Kharkiv region.
