Israeli forces carry out detonations in Qantara, Teeri and Khiam
Israeli forces carried out on Friday detonations in al-Teeri and al-Qantara while opening heavy machine-gun fire toward the town and nearby al-Khiam.
Overnight into Friday, Israeli artillery also shelled al-Qantara, Mayfadoun and Wadi Slouqi while forces advanced toward Zawtar al-Gharbieh and detonated houses in al-Khiam.
An Israeli strike killed a motorcyclist in the southern town of Qabrikha on Wednesday, the first such death since September, when 13 people were killed in an Israeli strike on a village in the Nabatieh region.
Violence had decreased since the signing of a U.S.-brokered framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel in June and a U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding earlier that month.
