Syrian Warplanes Stage Raid on Arsal, Several Wounded

Syrian warplanes raided on Friday several areas on the outskirts of the eastern border town of Arsal, the state-run National News Agency reported.

According to NNA, the jet planes targeted the areas of al-Ajram and al-Zamurani.

Ambulances rushed to the scene to transfer those who were wounded to hospitals, the news agency said.

Arsal, a predominantly Sunni area, backs the uprising against Syrian President Bashar Assad.

The town lies 12 kilometers from the border with Syria and has been used as a conduit for weapons and rebels to enter Syria, while also serving as a refuge for people fleeing the conflict.

The town has seen a massive influx of refugees as a result of the heavy fighting in Qalamoun.

Sovereignty and national pride are selective and sect specific in Lebanon. The south falls under sovereignty and national pride but the north and the east are free for all.

Is that a surprise? Why? Do you think leaders that pretend to be religious are trutful?

They are more dangerous and evil than bad politicians!

Where is our foreign minister, Jebran Bassil, to file a complaint to the UN? Is he even our foreign minister, or is it still the fool Mansour? So much for Flamethrower's argument that Aoun warned against protecting the border. If Aoun really cared then, he certainly doesn't care anymore. Because he would condemn these violations of Lebanon's sovereignty, as would his prodigy Bassil.

Reminder samer hana got killed while in a lebanese army hellicopter flighying over south lebanon by hezbollah militiaman.. So does it means we should let some foreign airforce go bombing dahiyeh?.. U r no better than those wishing external forces to come and fight hezbos...

Missing imagine_1979 01 August 2014, 16:45

According to my logic the state should be in control, no some airforce of a foreign country (yes sister syria is a foreign country we still have hundreeds of missing lebanese since late 80s in this foreign country, he is sending small gifts with smaha, or tourists like chaker el absi...) nor a religious militia pretending to defend lebanon and taking control...
Sorry for my logic... Now chose a nice orange chupachups and relax man... U r hurting ur brain too much...

oh blablabla, a whole country its not about the number of officials who die
its about lack of accountability and impunity for the assassinations, including the failed ones (i.e. Botros Harb)
its about your decisions to go to wars yes with an S
and never forget your pseudo small revolution in 2006 when you attacked the Lebanese army in Dahieh killing soldiers - did you get more electricity access then or was it just a backstage for your murderous attempt on May 2007-
good thing that the facts are out there and we will throw them in your face everytime

Missing imagine_1979 01 August 2014, 16:50

Blabla never attacked the army, he is with the army, a real orange patriot (as long as the army don't get in hezbos way...)
No he must be busy, it teletabis time...

blablabla ...... according to your logic those who killed the 8 Lebanese officers should be jailed and then released. If not so why the killers of Samer Hanna were released and not hanged?
