Syrian Dead, Lebanese Hurt in Southern Town Clash


The southern town of Siddiqin on Monday witnessed a fistfight involving hurling of rocks and empty bottles between and number of town residents and Syrian workers, state-run National News Agency reported.

The clash resulted in the death of Syrian national Ali Mohammed Obeid and the wounding of Lebanese citizen Haidar Bolhos, NNA said.

Army troops and security forces have since arrived in the town and a probe has been launched into the incident.
