Jumblat Blasts West, Voices Solidarity with Ukrainian People
Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblat on Wednesday noted that “the colonialist and expansionist West has no unified standards or values.”
“International institutions are a big lie,” Jumblat added in a tweet.
“The International Court (of Justice) and other institutions are of no value,” the PSP leader went on to say, wondering “when will sanctions rain down on Israel, which is occupying Palestine, the same as they are raining down on Russia in such a rapid manner.”
“There is a policy of axes amid global racial discrimination,” Jumblat lamented.
He had earlier sent a cable to Ukrainian Ambassador to Lebanon Ihor Ostash, in which he expressed his “solidarity with the Ukrainian people.”
He later received a response from Ostash, who voiced his “great respect for Jumblat personally and for his contribution to Lebanon’s history,” the National News Agency said.
