Al-Rahi warns some want to 'block change, bypass popular will'

Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi on Sunday described the explosion of several economic and financial crises after the elections as a “suspicious development.”

“It was notable and painful that, after the elections results were announced, we witnessed security disturbances and the return of the fuel, bread, medicine, prices and dollar crises,” al-Rahi said in his Sunday Mass sermon.

“This suspicious development confirms once again that some want to impede parliamentary and political change, to stage a coup against the elections results and to practice hegemony over the upcoming junctures,” al-Rahi warned.

Addressing all citizens, “especially those who believe in positive change, national sovereignty, unity of arms, neutrality and decentralization,” the patriarch urged “vigilance and readiness to confront the attempt to bypass popular will.”

When asked to comment on Patriarch al-Rahi's warning, Professor Chris Rushlau SSG PHD FTRB said: "I have warned about Article 24 and how it gives the "Christian" minority "50%" of parliament seats when they are less than 4% fully clothed, while the Sunna and Druze constitute less than -17% combined. Shiias on the other hand are 98% as per "Noam Chomsky" extensive calculations. Professor Chomsky" was very meticulous when he went around Lebanon "counting", making a list checking it twice, finding out that "Christians" are naughty and Shias are nice, "Noam Chomsky" is coming to town! ahem, he made sure no one was counted twice, except for the list."
Professor Rushlau SSG PHD FTRB (he insisted we add the initials) then added: "No matter how many times I advise the Shias to revolt and overthrow their "Christian" overlords and Article 24, they don't listen. I came to the conclusion the Shias are Hajjis and as I always said, you can teach a donkey to read but you cannot make a Hajji think."
