Bassil: Mikati doesn't want to form a new government

Free Patriotic Movement chief Jebran Bassil accused Wednesday Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati of seeking constitutional means in order to keep the caretaker government and avoid forming a new cabinet.

"Mikati doesn't want to form a new government," Bassil said in a statement.

He added that a government cannot be formed "between a yacht and a plane" nor "between Greece and Britain." "It must be formed in the Baabda palace between the President and the PM-designate."

Bassil went on to say that "they do not want to make any accomplishment" during President Michel Aoun's term.

"Mikati doesn't want to form a new government," Bassil said in a statement.

Strange, very strange! We all know that Mikati submitted a line-up of his new government to the dictator in Baabda a few days after he was appointed by parliament for PM. His line-up was not accepted because it did not give the FPM the Energy portfolio. So, now that makes Mikati not wanting to form a government!

There has been one constant of obstruction in every government formation, at every juncture, and every corner and that obstruction is Bassil.

Pretty sure that Mikati knows that this is the last chance for the sil to torpedo talks---the sil is trying to turn the tables but falling on deaf ears.

Lebanon doesn’t need parasites like jebran bassil, I still don’t get why suffering people haven’t abducted his children as leverage and torched his properties Sri-lanka style.

This is Bassil/Aoun's new spin to try and extend Aoun’s term.
