Report: US, France, KSA, Egypt seek framework agreement on Lebanon

W460

Consultations are ongoing between the U.S., France and Saudi Arabia to reach a “framework agreement” over the new Lebanese president, in coordination with Egypt and a number of regional countries, highly informed sources said.

“Meetings were held on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia to review what needs to be done in order not to prolong the presidential void,” the sources told al-Liwaa newspaper in remarks published Wednesday, noting that French President Emmanuel Macron is coordinating with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in this regard.

The presidential file was meanwhile discussed during a visit to Bkirki by Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon Yasser Elwy, who said that his talks with Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi tackled “the importance of completing the constitutional junctures and resuming the formation of the political authority in Lebanon by immediately electing a president, forming a government and launching a workshop that Lebanon direly needs.”

Lebanon was the most democratic and free nation in the Middle East. Its freedom was abused by militant Palestinians, Syrians and now Iranians. Peaceful Cedar Revolution inspired Arab Spring and Iran’s Green Revolution. Lebanon with its democracy, education, international connections and innovative spirit should be the Singapore of the region & most stable and secure Arab country. Three factors destroyed our foundation and allowed outside interference:
1. Hizbollah or Iran’s foreign Legion occupation and indoctrination of a community
2. SSNP and all politicians working for Syria’s interests
3. Aoun/Bassil and their duped supporters who sold our freedom and democracy to highest bidder and weakened Lebanon and Christians
These three factors (traitors) are what bleeding Lebanon, implying a failed state, and inviting external interferences. If we get rid of them Lebanon will be once again be the most stable, democratic and prosperous nation in the region.

Lebanon is excited to announce that actor/director Clint Eastwood has agreed to be Lebanon's new President. He told reporters, "I've always admired the very strong Christian ethic in Lebanon."

The strong christian ethic of raping girls with glassbottles, torturing rivals and killing civilians - a signature hallmark of the maronite christian militias during the civil war.

You are living in a delusional state of mind. Lebanon was never a democratic and free united country. Never. Its glory days where because of arab backing and naturalized non-lebanese arabs who were given lebanese citizenship and made the banking sector flourish. It was never because of lebanese being democratic, free, superior or whatever other nonsense you come up with. If lebanon had been as you described then no foreign militia could have been successfull in lebanon. Facts are that lebanon is a failed state compromised of different ethnic people who never would have been seen as one people had the lebanese state not been formed as a way to attempt to cause a maronite state loyal to france in the middle east. Half of the lebanese want the iranian militia. A huge chunk of the lebanese wanted the syrian occupation and a huge chunk wanted the PLO. Going back 100 years, the majority saw themselves as syrian arabs part of syria. Stop trying to change reality.
