A Lebanese expatriate, who works in an oil company in Yemen, has been released by his captors on Tuesday, reported the National News Agency.

Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour received news of his release, it added.

He is in good condition and is on his way to the Yemeni capital Sanaa.

The Yemeni Interior Ministry had announced his kidnapping earlier on Tuesday.

It said in a statement: “An expert (from Lebanese nationality) who works at an oil company was kidnapped in Marib province.”

The Lebanese expat was heading to Marib province to the Headquarters of Safer Petroleum Company when a member of Marib tribe identified as Ahmed Jamilan abducted him.

“Preliminary information revealed that the accused person kidnapped the Lebanese expert because of a dispute with the company,” the statement added.

Yemen is the most dangerous country in teh world even before the events that toppled salah. I lived there and know this first hand. The people are very primitive and hold arms on the streets and in buses and taxis.

True. I was there in 2007-2008. The country is gorgeous but the people , well Huthi rebels in the north, al-Qaida plus Haraq ( Southern separatists ) in the South very dangerous indeed. Best stay out of this country. In some 5 years when oil dries up they will have full blown "Somalia" I feel for the Saudis and Omanis already.
