Caretaker Prime Minister Saad Hariri held talks Thursday evening at the Center House with Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea and MP Strida Geagea on “the latest political developments in the country,” the premier’s press office said.

Earlier Thursday Hariri stressed that his political camp was not seeking to “eliminate anyone.”

“We don’t want to eliminate anyone, and are not seeking to do so. But we will do everything we can to end the tutelage of arms on the State and the Lebanese people, because it is affecting the action of the State, the development of the economy and the advancement of Lebanon,” Hariri said.

“It is also threatening the Lebanese interests abroad when it becomes a tool to export the Iranian revolution to the Arab and Islamic states,” Hariri added during a meeting at the Center House with delegations from the Mustaqbal Youth and Beiruti families.
