Hizbullah will retaliate to any strike against Damascus by firing rockets at Israel from Syrian territory, in an attempt to dissociate Lebanon from the developments in the neighboring country.
“Hizbullah is controlling 8,000 kilometers in Reef Homs and will not hesitate to participate in an attack by firing surface-to-surface missiles from Syria,” a source in the joint operations formed by Hizbullah and the forces of President Bashar Assad said in comments published in Kuwaiti al-Rai newspaper.

Israel's Shin Bet domestic security agency said on Sunday it had arrested three Palestinians engaged in a plan by militant Islamist group Hamas to bomb a Jerusalem shopping center.
Shin Bet said in a statement that in a joint operation with the military and police its agents last month detained two men from Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem who worked as cleaners in the Mamilla mall, an upmarket shopping street just outside the walls of Jerusalem's Old City.

A rocket carrying an Israeli communications satellite has been successfully launched from a Russian facility in Kazakhstan, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) said in a statement on Sunday.
It said that the AMOS-4 satellite lifted off from the Baikonur cosmodrome atop a Russian Zenit rocket on Saturday night.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that the Jewish State was prepared for "every possible scenario" in neighboring Syria after U.S. President Barack Obama postponed a threatened missile strike.

Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul Karim Ali stressed on Saturday that his country is seeing to maintain stability in Lebanon.

Egypt's foreign ministry accused Gaza's Hamas rulers on Saturday of raiding an Egyptian cultural center in the Palestinian enclave and detaining several Egyptians.

The army announced on Saturday that it had arrested two Lebanese in connection to the firing of rockets from southern Lebanon towards Israel.
The Army Command said in a statement that Youssef Mohammed al-Fleity and Omar Abdul Mawla al-Atrash confessed to transporting rockets from the Gaza region in the Bekaa to individuals in the southern region of Tyre.

Uganda has denied it has struck a deal with Israel to take in tens of thousands of African refugees, Foreign Ministry officials said Saturday.
Israel's Haaretz newspaper reported on Friday that Israel would finance the migrants' flights to Uganda and their resettlement there, with each refugee apparently receiving $1,500 (1,135 euros).
