'Cowardly Minister': Port Victims' Families Paint Slogans on Khoury's Home

Relatives of Beirut port blast victims staged a protest Wednesday outside the residence of Justice Minister Henri Khoury.

“Cowardly Minister!” was one of the phrases that they wrote on the external walls of Khoury’s apartment. The protesters also wrote names of victims.

A video meanwhile showed the protesters arguing with a State Security officer outside the apartment.

Speaking to reporters, a spokesman for the families, William Noon, accused Khoury of doing nothing to speed up the probe into the catastrophe, noting that the minister can hold a meeting with the country’s top judges in order to expedite judicial appointments.
