The head of Hizbullah's Loyalty to Resistance bloc, MP Mohammed Raad, warned Israel on Monday that its very existence will be “at stake” should it wage a new war on Lebanon.

Hizbullah MP Mohammed Raad warned that failure to agree on a new vote system before the constitutional deadline will trigger vacuum at the legislative and executive authorities, the National News Agency reported on Monday.

Head of the Loyalty to the Resistance MP said political parties better agree on a new electoral law before June 20, “vacuum (at the legislative authority) is inadmissible in this country because it would mean the termination of the country, state and institutions.”

MP Mohammed Raad, the head of Hizbullah's Loyalty to Resistance bloc, announced Monday that an agreement over a new electoral law will likely be reached “within days.”

Hizbullah Loyalty to the Resistance bloc Mohammad Raad stated that government’s approval of the wage scale is an essential matter, but decried imposing taxes in return which he said would diminish the purchasing power, the state-run National News Agency reported on Wednesday.

“The pressing issue of the wage scale affects a large segment of our people and our brothers awaiting an increase in their salaries, it is rightfully theirs,” said Raad.

Hizbullah MP Mohammed Raad stressed the need to form a national consensus cabinet and added that the party sees no need for further delay in the cabinet formation, the National News Agency reported Thursday.

He said: “We do not want to turn the table against anyone in Lebanon.”

Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi condemned on Wednesday the recent remarks of Hizbullah MP Mohammed Raad against Mustaqbal Movement chief MP Saad Hariri, urging him against adopting “intimidation” tactics.

He said via Twitter: “Neither you, nor your armed party can decide who has a place in Lebanon or not.”

Chairman of Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Alaeddin Boroujerdi arrived in Lebanon Friday for a brief visit to hold talks with top officials.
