وفاة العاهل السعودي الملك عبدالله بن عبد العزيز والامير سلمان يصبح ملكا

توفي العاهل السعودي الملك عبدالله بن عبد العزيز فجر الجمعة وتمت مبايعة ولي عهده الامير سلمان بن عبد العزيز ملكا، بحسب بيان اصدره الديوان الملكي السعودي.
واورد البيان ايضا ان الامير مقرن، وهو الاخ غير الشقيق للملك الراحل، بات وليا للعهد.
وسارع الملك سلمان بعيد مبايعته الى اعلان وزير الداخلية الامير محمد بن نايف وليا لولي العهد، حاسما بذلك مسألة انتقال الحكم في اسرة آل سعود الى الجيل الثاني، فمحمد بن نايف سيكون من حيث المبدأ اول ملك من ذلك الجيل.
وتوافد العشرات من زعماء العالم الى العاصمة السعودية للمشاركة في الصلاة على جنازة الملك عبدالله.
واكد العاهل السعودي الجديد في اول كلمة له بعد اعتلائه سدة الحكم ان المملكة بقيادته ستستمر بالسير على نفس النهج الذي سار عليه اسلافه.
وقال الملك سلمان في كلمته التي عزى فيها الشعب السعودي بوفاة الملك عبد الله "سنظل بحول الله وقوته متمسكين بالنهج القويم الذي سارت عليه هذه الدولة منذ تاسيسها على يد الملك عبد العزيز رحمه الله وعلى ايدي ابنائه من بعده رحمهم الله".
واعتبر الملك سلمان ان الحكم في السعودية "امانة عظمى" شاء الله ان يحملها سائلا الله ان "يمدني بعونه وتوفيقه".
ووعد الملك سلمان بان تستمر بلاده التي تحتضن الحرمين الشريفين، اقدس المقدسات الاسلامية، بالعمل على وحدة العرب والمسلمين.
وقال "ان الامة العربية والاسلامية احوج ما تكون الى وحدتها وتضامنها وسنواصل في هذه البلاد ... مسيرتنا بالاخذ بكل ما من شانه (ضمان) وحدة الصف وجمع الكلمة والدفاع عن قضايا امتنا".
واعلن الديوان الملكي مبايعة وزير الداخلية الامير محمد بن نايف وليا لولي العهد فيما بات الامير مقرن ايضا رسميا نائبا لرئيس مجلس الوزراء، وهو منصب يشغله الملك نفسه.
كما اعلن الديوان الملكي تعيين الامير محمد بن سلمان نجل الملك وزيرا للدفاع خلفا لوالده ورئيسا للديوان الملكي.
واصدر الملك سلمان عددا من الاوامر الملكية التي تضمنت خصوصا اعفاء السكرتير الخاص للعاهل السعودي الراحل خالد التويجري من مناصبه، بما في ذلك منصب رئيس الحرس الملكي ومدير الديوان الملكي.
واحتفظ جميع اعضاء مجلس الوزراء الآخرين بمناصبهم.
والامير محمد بن نايف هو الرجل القوي في مجال مكافحة الارهاب ويحظى نظرا لجهوده هذه بتقدير دولي لا سيما من قبل الولايات المتحدة.
واشرف محمد بن نايف على جهود المملكة الناجحة نسبيا في الحرب على تنظيم القاعدة داخل المملكة.
وشهدت المملكة بين 2003 و2006 موجة من الهجمات الدامية التي نسبت الى تنظيم القاعدة، الا ان هذه الموجة انحسرت لدرجة كبيرة وبات تنظيم القاعدة يتحصن في اليمن المجاور مبقيا عينه على المملكة خصوصا.
والملك الجديد سلمان شغل مناصب رفيعة طوال العقود الماضية، لاسيما منصب امير منطقة الرياض ووزير الدفاع.
نقل الملك الراحل الذي يعتقد انه يناهز التسعين عاما الى المستشفى في وقت سابق هذا الشهر لتلقي العلاج من التهاب رئوي.
وذكر بيان النعي الرسمي ان الملك عبدالله "وافته المنية في تمام الساعة الواحدة من صباح هذا اليوم الجمعة" (23,00 ت غ الخميس) واقيمت الصلاة على خادم الحرمين الشريفين بعد صلاة العصر في جامع الامام تركي بن عبدالله في مدينة الرياض قبل دفن جثمانه وفق مراسم بسيطة تماشيا مع التقاليد السعودية.
وبحسب البيان الملكي، فان ولي العهد الامير سلمان بن عبد العزيز "تلقى البيعة ملكا على البلاد وفق النظام الاساسي للحكم. وبعد اتمام البيعة (...) دعا خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبد العزيز لمبايعة صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير مقرن بن عبد العزيز وليا للعهد".
واشار البيان الى ان "البيعة من المواطنين لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبد العزيز ولسمو ولي عهده الأمير مقرن بن عبد العزيز ستبدأ بقصر الحكم في الرياض بعد صلاة العشاء".
ودعا الملك سلمان المواطنين ايضا الى مبايعة الامير محمد بن نايف وليا لولي العهد.
وفي اذار 2014، عين الملك الراحل عبدالله اخاه غير الشقيق الامير مقرن وليا لولي العهد في خطوة غير مسبوقة تهدف الى تأمين انتقال سلس للحكم.
والملك عبدالله الذي ولد في الرياض، هو الابن الثالث عشر للملك عبد العزيز، مؤسس المملكة، من اصل 45 ابنا.
وفي ظل حكم الملك عبدالله الذي اعتلى سدة الحكم في 2005، مارست السعودية دورا متعاظما على الساحة العربية، وعززت تحالفها مع الولايات المتحدة.
وانضمت السعودية مؤخرا الى الائتلاف الدولي ضد تنظيم الدولة الاسلامية في العراق وسوريا.
وسارع الرئيس الاميركي باراك اوباما الى الاشادة بالعاهل السعودي الراحل واصفا اياه بانه صديق امين وقائد "صادق" اتخذ قرارات شجاعة في عملية السلام بالشرق الاوسط.
وقال اوباما في بيان "كان دائما قائدا صادقا يتمتع بالشجاعة في قناعاته" متحدثا عن "صداقة حقيقية وودية".
واضاف "عمل بلدانا معا في مواجهة العديد من التحديات وثمنت دائما وجهات نظر الملك عبدالله وقدرت صداقتنا الحقيقية والودية".
واشاد اوباما ايضا ب"القرارات الشجاعة" التي اتخذها الملك عبدالله في اطار مبادرة السلام العربية من اجل حل النزاع العربي الاسرائيلي.
والسعودية التي تعد اكبر مصدر للنفط في العالم، كانت المحرك الرئيس لقرار منظمة الدول المصدرة للنفط (اوبك) بعدم تخفيض متسويات الانتاج بالرغم من انخفاض الاسعار.
وخسرت اسعار الخام حوالى 60% منذ حزيران الماضي.
والعاهل السعودي الراحل هو الذي اطلق المبادرة العربية للسلام التي عرضت الدول العربية بموجبها سلاما شاملا مع اسرائيل مقابل انسحاب الدولة العبرية من الاراضي المحتلة منذ 1967 وقيام دولة فلسطينية عاصمتها القدس الشرقية فضلا عن التوصل الى حل تفاوضي لقضية اللاجئين.
وتمكن الملك عبدالله من تعزيز صورته كقائد قريب من الناس، كما اعلن عن تقديمات مالية واجتماعية ضخمة لشعبه مع اندلاع احتجاجات الربيع العربي التي تجنبتها المملكة بدرجة كبيرة.
وابدى الملك الراحل قلقا كبيرا ازاء صعود التيارات الاسلامية، وقد دعم بقوة الرئيس المصري عبدالفتاح السيسي بعد عزل الجيش للرئيس السابق محمد مرسي المنتمي للاخوان المسلمين.
ومن المتوقع ان يتابع الملك سلمان الى حد كبير السياسات التي ترسخت خلال عهد الملك عبدالله، في المجالين السياسي والنفطي، وكذلك في مجال ادخال اصلاحات سياسية واجتماعية غير جذرية الى المملكة المحافظة جدا.
وادخل الملك عبدالله المراة الى مجلس الشورى وحد نسبيا من سطوة هيئة الامر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر، وهي بمثابة شرطة دينية.
وتعزز الوضع المالي والاقتصادي للمملكة في عهد الملك عبدالله، وباتت السعودية العضو العربي الوحيد في مجموعة الدول العشرين التي تضم اكبر اقتصادات في العالم.
الا ان المملكة ما زالت تتعرض لانتقادات في مجال حقوق الانسان لاسيما بسبب سجن معارضين، كما لكونها البلد الوحيد في العالم الذي لا يسمح للنساء بقيادة السيارات.
اما الملك سلمان، فلطالما اعتبر حكما بين اخوته في الاسرة الحاكمة، ويحسب له تحويل الرياض الى مدينة عصرية مزدهرة خلال فترة توليه أميرا عليها.
وطرحت خلال السنوات الاخيرة مخاوف بشان صحة سلمان، الا انه مارس مهاما كبيرة منذ ان اضطر الملك عبدالله الى الابتعاد عن الاضواء مؤخرا بسبب وضعه الصحي.
وولي العهد الجديد مقرن، هو رئيس سابق للمخابرات السعودية وكان مقربا جدا من الملك عبدالله.
والامير مقرن هو الاصغر بين ابناء الملك عبدالعزيز مؤسس الدولة السعودية الحديثة، وسيكون الملك الاخير مما يعرف ب"الجيل الاول".

Now, does the US want the LAF to be weak? Perhaps. The US does not want the LAF confronting Israel, but more importantly it does not want the LAF sharing these weapons with Hezbollah and coordinating with them. Texas is right when he says ending Hezbollah's control of Lebanon is the core of putting Lebanon ahead, and that everyone needs to adhere to the dissociation policy.
Coolmec is right when he says M8 and M14 are equally corrupt. Hariri and his cronies -- like Sanioura, who was his finance minister -- stole a lot of money and evicted people out of their homes to rebuild Beirut. Hariri had $1 billion in 1992, and $16 billion when he died in 2005. Hariri gave kickbacks to Syrian politicians, and Hariri basically wrote up Ta'ef which was meant for him to take over postwar Lebanon.

Through his company Solidere, he forced people to sell their homes in exchange for shares in the company, when the shares weren't even worth 15% the value of their properties (read that sentence again and it will make sense). I mean, that's big-time corruption. While yes, Mustaqbal was the main force behind the Cedar Revolution, never forget that Hariri was the one who supported the Syrian occupation via Ta'ef to begin with. It was only when he had enough (14 years later) that he tried doing something.

The government should be overthrown and all these politicians should be imprisoned for treachery. But, since that is not happening anytime soon, who is more to blame for the instability?
