2 killed, 7 hurt in new Israeli drone strikes on Lebanon

Two brothers from the southern town of Shebaa were killed Saturday when an Israeli drone bombed their car on a road linking Shebaa to Ain Ata, the National News Agency said.

Earlier in the day seven people were wounded in an Israeli drone strike on a car in the southern town of Bint Jbeil.

Israel had ceased its drone strikes on Friday, a day after it escalated its airstrikes after ordering the evacuation of buildings in five southern towns, alleging they were being used by Hezbollah for military purposes.

Israel has intensified its attacks and threats against Lebanon in recent days, arguing that Hezbollah is rebuilding itself and that Lebanon is procrastinating in its plan to disarm the Iran-backed group.
