Israeli troops cross Blue Line, plant booby-trapped boxes
An Israeli force made a 600-meter incursion Tuesday into the southern border town of Dhayra, planting booby-trapped empty ammunition boxes in the al-Sari neighborhood, the state-run National News Agency said.
NNA added that the Israeli move was aimed at “harming the residents who periodically visit their town despite coming under daily gunfire and stun grenades.”
A Lebanese Army engineering unit later arrived in the town and detonated the boxes in a controlled manner after cordoning off the area.
